Welcome to the "Meet the Committee" page! We're excited to introduce you to the dedicated individuals who have planned and organized this trip. Our committee members have put in countless hours of hard work to ensure that you have an unforgettable and seamless travel experience. Here you can learn a little more about each member of the committee and their role in making this trip a reality.
Hi! I'm Jasper, the chairman of the current BuCom. I'm not the most prevalent Astatine member, but you can find me at a lot of activities and I frequent Homebase as well. I have also been in the CoATCie, NICAT and am currently in the TACo. As chair, I try to keep some oversight of who is doing what and lead the meetings. I have done this for a couple of other committees as well, but of course am still learning. In my free time I adore playing baseball, play the guitar on and off and enjoying a nice pills with friends. I think the BuCom will be great! and something you won't want to miss out on.
Hi everyone, I am Koen Verhoeven a second-year AT student. You may know me from other committees such as the Nicat, Zeilcie or BOSS or you will probably have seen me sometimes sitting in the membersroom. I serve as the Treasurer of the BuCom this year and will be responsible for all the fiscal duties and budgets. I don't have much experience with this so I'm sure I will learn a lot. Besides studying, I enjoy playing clarinet in the university symphony orchestra MSO, drinking beers with my fraternity, and going sailing. I'm excited about the BuCom and look forward to seeing you all there!
Hello! I'm Mihai, a second year AT student, and the secretary for this year's BuCom. In my role, I'm responsible for the usual secretary tasks like minute-taking and tracking work hours, but besides that I also help out wherever I can, like organizing activities during the trip. Besides BuCom I am also part of ImCo, ZeilCie, and TAC, which is all to say that I like to help out in organizing events, and as I went on the last BuCom, my goal is to make sure that this year's trip goes smoothly and is as much fun as last year.
Hey! I'm Jort and I'm the commissioner of external affairs of BuCom this year. You might know me from TA-ing, other committees such as the NiCat or TIPcie, or just from hanging around Homebase and the members room. My role means primarily that I find research groups and companies which are willing to sponsor our trip, so it is my job to make sure that the BuCom is as cheap as possible for members. It's been a pleasure to be part of this committee.
I am Dillon, 20 years old, and a second-year Advanced Technology student at the University of Twente. I am thrilled to announce that I will be in charge of planning the 2024 BuCom trip. My passions lie in traveling and music. In my free time, I play in a tribute band and am active within other committees within Astatine.
Hey, this is Bram. I was originally not a part of the bucom, but I would not have wanted to miss it. As I am the chief of design, I was in charge of making this very website! I have been updating and maintaining it along the way, making sure you can find anything you need. The logo, reveal clues and booklet are all also made by me. I found it very challenging, which also made it fun. I have never been a chief of design before, so it is a very good way to broaden my skillset. Besides the BuCom, I am and have been in plenty committees, too many to write down here. I hope that I can use my experience to make this a trip to never forget.
