The S.A. Astatine and Robotics Centre Robotics Day will take place on the 21st of May 2025 at the University of Twente. It will be dedicated to the latest developments in the Robotics Industry. The day will cover topics from Automation to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and everything in between. On this day, many interesting speakers will be present and talk about different areas of Robotics. Roelof Bleker

Roelof Bleker has been mayor of Enschede since February 1, 2022. He was Chair of the Executive Board at HKU, dike reeve of Rivierenland Water Authority, and an alderman in Enschede. He led the Roombeek district’s rebuilding and was active in the VNG. He holds a degree in technical business administration from the University of Twente.

prof.dr.ir. Stefano Stramigioli

Prof.dr.ir. Stefano Stramigioli, IEEE Fellow and ERC laureate, is a full professor in Advanced Robotics. He leads a group of 60 people and has held key roles in IEEE RAS. His research focuses on covariant and port-based modeling and control. He has 450 publications, including 4 books.

Jan Broenink

Jan Broenink (Associate professor) is Programme Director of  MSc Robotics at UT. Jan’s research interests are  Cyber-Physical Systems, Systems Engineering, Robot Software Architectures, Real-Time Computing, (Co-)Simulation. Jan’s teaching work is on Robot Software Design using Model-Driven approaches, Systems Engineering, and using the latter in methods for conducting and supervising MSc / BSc final projects.

Herbert Wormeester

Herbert Wormeester is the Program Director of the Advanced Technology program and the Nanotechnology program. He has an academic background in Applied Physics, in which he earned both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Alongside teaching several courses for Advanced Technology students, he has been actively involved in university governance. Since September 2012, he has served as chairman of the University Council, the representative body for students and employees that advises on university policy.
