Planning for the trip

On the 25th of May, BuCom 2019 will kick off! We will be taking the bus to Prague, where we will arrive in the evening. The trip that is being organized this year is an eight-day trip, during which we shall visit 5 cities in 4 different countries. Besides visiting several companies, there will also be time to explore the cities, go shopping and/or you can party all night. During the BuCom we will be staying in hostels and meals will be provided for you, or you will get money to get your own meals.

Upon arrived in Prague you will have time to look around the city, by day or/and night. Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic and was the historical capital of Bohemia. Prague has many old buildings, with the oldest one being built in the year 920. Furthermore, Prague has many shopping facilities and there are tons of pubs where you can drink some typical cheap Czech drinks.

If the largest city in the Czech Republic wasn't enough for you, the trip will continue to the second largest city in the Czech Republic. This place lies to the south-east of Prague and is called Brno. Before arrival we will be visiting a company. Finally in Brno you can find yourself in a vibrant and authentic Czech ambiance. Because of the large amount of students in Brno, the city has a lot of cosy bars and restaurants where you can have a taste of some excellent beer. Since Brno is known for its good beers, it would be a waste not to try it. Besides that there is also a great amount of beautiful architecture to be found throughout the whole city.

On Wednesday we will travel from Brno to Bratislava. Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and has a rich history, which can be seen in the buildings throughout the whole city. There are baroque palaces, a crown castle, many communist-era blocks and a futurist bridge. Next to the architecture, Bratislava has nature right around the corner. There you can enjoy the banks of the Danube and to the north many vineyards can be spotted.

The next trip will be from Bratislava through Vienna to Stuttgart, take a nice pillow with you, because you're going to need it. Vienna is the most famous Austrian capital. It has many cultural events, an imperial sight, coffee houses, cosy wine taverns and overall a nice vibe. The city is known to have many baroque buildings, which go from big palaces to small houses, so there is enough to see in Vienna. In the night we will travel from Vienna to Stuttgart. Stuttgart is the capital of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, and is famous for its automotive industry, a business location and a city of trade fairs, congress and culture. In addition, it is no less popular as a destination for day excursions, recreation and travel. Here you can enjoy your last comfortable night in a hostel again, before the long and final ride home.

Indeed, on the first of June we will go from Stuttgart back home. We will arrive in Enschede around the evening.
